What decides whether a house still looks good in five years is everything that happens before the first coat: the loose paint scraped back, the bare wood primed, the gaps caulked. The house in these photos had paint peeling off in sheets when we got there. We take the whole exterior — siding, trim, soffits, doors, porch floors and fences — across Knoxville, Maryville, Lenoir City, Sevierville and Jefferson City.
Loose and peeling paint comes off and bare wood gets primed before anything else. Painting over failing paint just buys you a year.
